Program Overview
The CCNE accredited Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) / Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree is a 24-month (72 quarter credit) program includes didactic work throughout the eight quarter duration and an overlapping practicum phase in the final three quarters of the program.

- Small student cohorts: Our small student cohorts ensure one-on-one support from instructors and faculty advisors.
- On-campus residency experiences: Students also complete two, 5-day, on-campus residency experiences delivered by faculty from various professions, utilizing our state-of-the-art simulation center to ensure that students demonstrate necessary skills to begin and excel at their practicum sites.
The practicum phase begins in the Winter Quarter of the second year of the program providing students with the necessary hands-on experience to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to be an effective Nurse Practitioner. Through program assistance and guidance, students rotate through multiple primary care practicum sites, gaining a broad scope of experiences in different settings and areas of focus, including internal medicine, long-term care/assisted living, hospice, home health, and pharmacy.

To be considered for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) / Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, applicants must submit the following documented evidence:
- Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing, granted by a regionally accredited college or university.
- Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in at least one legal jurisdiction in the United States and its territories.
- A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

- Eight quarters of online didactic study emphasizing advanced concepts in areas such as Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, and Pathophysiology.
- Two mandatory 5-day on-campus residencies focused on physical and health assessment.
