Research Interests
I am especially interested in researching nanomedicine and drug delivery, the reduction in toxicity of drugs using nanomedicine, and improving safety of drugs at the maternal and fetal interface using nanomedicine.
What is the most rewarding part of being a member of the 色多多视频 faculty?
The most rewarding part of being a member of the 色多多视频 faculty is that I get to work with students who are young, bright, and have a curious mind. Their energy is contagious. I also get motivation working with my amazing colleagues, who are exceptional educators, and who are also involved in cutting-edge research in their respective fields.
How do you engage students in the learning process?
I resonate with this quote from Benjamin Franklin: 鈥淭ell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.鈥 I have adopted that saying as my teaching philosophy. I teach a very hands-on course called 鈥淧harmaceutical Calculations鈥 in the Pharm. D. program. Following the quote from Benjamin Franklin, I involve students in multiple ways to help them learn more. For example, I do in-class workshops involving multiple word problems on calculations. I also involve them in my lab research, where they actually get to use the calculations they have learned in the class. These approaches help them to learn the material better and retain it for much longer.
What do you hope students learn from your classes?
Medicine is the noble profession of saving people鈥檚 lives. As a healthcare professional, your patients have bestowed their trust in you. You commit your highest to this trust by paying your utmost attention and effort to the patient care process.

Not only are our faculty personable yet professional, but they are dedicated to students鈥 success, and they are invested in their development. We have an open-door policy with our students. Our labs are modern, and we take pride in providing excellent instruction. In addition, our student and faculty communities are very diverse. We are a great community that is always there to help each other.
What lessons would you like students to take with them in their professional careers?
Approach your professional career from a space of learning, yet with full confidence. Treat every patient as your own family member. Go for excellence and success will follow you.
